Thank You, Orange County Custodians!

This month, we’re using this space to highlight not just one particular employee, but a group of team members who work behind the scenes to keep our facilities clean, safe, and ready to serve! Orange County custodians work under the direction of the (recently renamed) General Services Department. The dedicated team is small but mighty. Since they often start early before others arrive, they are usually the first to greet the rest of the Orange County staff. Their kindness helps set the tone for the workday. Beyond their smiling faces, the work is serious business. Between them, our six full-time custodians maintain an astounding 171,339 square feet across Orange County facilities , or 28,556 square feet each.

October 2 was National Custodian Appreciation Day, but we appreciate the effort made by these team members every day! OC Employees are encouraged to recognize their coworkers for a job well done at www.orangecountyva.gov/recognition! Thank you, Orange County Custodians!
