TOWERing Skills Displayed During County Cup
By: Tim Moubray, Director, Orange County Parks & Recreation Department
Last month, Orange County Parks & Recreation visited 13 departments to allow 26 players to compete in ‘ Speed Jenga. ’ Many co - workers of the competitors gathered to watch the festivities and cheer on their player representatives. After all of the blocks were stacked, and some tumbled, our champion is Jennifer McGuire from Team Admin/HR. Jennifer had a two - round total of 31, as well as the high individual round of 17. Following Jennifer, in a three - way tie for second with 25, are Mary Anne Sparks (Extension), Alisha Vines (OOY), and Chris Votaw (Sheriff). While the top spots didn ’ t change much, Team Extension made a big jump in the overall leaderboard from seventh to fourth! Those paying attention will look out for Team Sheriff. They are making a late year charge. Thanks to all who played, coached, and cheered. The County Cup is an important part of our organization ’ s Cultural Initiative, which seeks to make Orange County an employer of choice, able to recruit and retain skilled employees. Look like fun?
