Q: Where can I get a copy of my plat? A: Citizens who wish to obtain a copy of their plat may visit the Orange County Circuit Court Clerk ’ s Office, located at 110 N. Madison Road, Orange or contact the Circuit Court Clerk ’ s Office at (540) 672 - 4030. For more information on the Clerk ’ s Office, visit their website: http://orangecountyva.gov/194/Circuit - Court. Q: I requested documents from the County. Why do I have to wait five (5) working days to receive them? A: Under the Virginia Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), the County is allowed five (5) working days to process your request and respond. If the request is large in volume of records, the County is permitted to request an additional seven (7) working days to process the request.
